They could geld the stallions and slow the population…But running them to death in the heat is just plain cruelty. And ranchers need to get balanced. It can not be just about the cows.

Is there a form of timed release birth control that could be administered to these horses using a tranquilizer dart gun so that the horse population could be controlled without this abominable behavior and the unintended consequences of the same?

These horses are going to wind up on the dining tables of “gourmands” in France, after being transported in double-decker trailers to be brutally slaughtered in Canada and Mexico and huge profits will be made from our western icons.

what is the BLM stockpiling the horses for I wonder? There has to be a wasy to stop this practice, and stop it soon. I envision mass graves filled with magnificent creatures whose freedom was taken away. I’m so disgusted with the government already, and this puts a cap on it.

If you are appauled by the actions of the BLM and you eat beef, you are part of the problem – not the solution! Vote with your mouth – stop eating beef and encouraging the cattle ranchers!

Why don’t they ship the cattle out east and leave the wild horses where they belong? Just one problem that the blm will face is trimming thousands of wild horse hooves that won’t get worn down naturally like they do in the sand and the rock out west.
